what he does for animals goes a long way with me. So, I defended his support of 1070, but his appearing at the Beck rally is getting to be a bit too much. Particularly when he spouts nonsense like this:

13. I loved St. Louis as a kid

and even have an autograph from Stan Musial to me. A hero of mine and a great man of the civil rights movement. The cardinals were a great story of integration(read October '64).

I am a Cub fan who begrudgingly admits that Pujols may be the best hitter in the last 30 or 40 years. And he is. But if he appeared at that piece of garbage that was the beckkk rally, then I have no respect whatsoever for him. My dad, who is about as liberal as they come; in fact that's where we learned our "liberalness"; is also a huge Cards and Pujols fan. And while I love my dad, I still think I'll point this out to him. He may change his high opinion of Pujols now.
