Sweet! Rob Dibble no longer working for Nats
WASHINGTON -- The Washington Nationals say Rob Dibble will no longer work as a TV analyst for the team's games, a split that comes after the former reliever made comments critical of rookie pitcher Stephen Strasburg.

Dibble lashed out at Strasburg last week for not pitching through pain. Dibble said on Sirius XM Radio that "you can't have the cavalry come in and save your butt every time you feel a little stiff shoulder, sore elbow."

Strasburg has since been diagnosed with a torn elbow ligament and will have surgery Friday. He will be sidelined 12 to 18 months.

Two days after making those comments, Dibble was absent from the broadcast both on MASN, the network that televises the games. At the time, MASN said Dibble had requested "a few days off."

Though really, he should've been canned when he expressed shock and awe that women go to baseball games. Better late, than never.

And the Nats had a pretty bad night last night (Nyjer Morgan is behaving like a knucklehead and is gonna get a LONG suspension now no doubt).
He is without a doubt the worst analyst in baseball, I think.

3. cripes, I had no idea the Dolphins and Redskins played last night
16-10. :wow: I guess McNabb couldn't lead a 4th quarter comeback.

4. LOL
Go figure. And the score was 1-0 in 10 the night before. I checked the score after the 6th and saw it was 15-5 and decided to skip the game...

7. You are the only Nat fan I know who likes him
My Uncle who takes me to games (lives within walking distance of the stadium) only goes to listens to games if he wasn't subjected to Dibble. And my dad is Mr. Cincinnati Red and even he concedes he's a big mouth idjit.

8. Well he has no filter between mouth and brain--
that's for sure. But he does offer excellent insight most of the time.

9. Such a shame
I love listening to MLB Network in the morning on XM, but I'm getting tired of him. He is sooooooooooo boring. Memolo is at least a little better, but boy Rob Dibble is just . . . Dribble

10. Caught a bit of Mike and Mike on the way to work this morning
and Mark Schlereth(sp) was on talking about his own son's arm trouble. Apparently his son had the same thing happen to him as it did to Strasburg.

Basically he said that as soon as he saw Strasbur grab his arm like that he knew what happened. He understood.

But it was funny both he and Golig trying to both defend and castigate Dibble for being the ass he was in regard to this.
