Giants VS Panthers- Giants play a mistake filled and sloppy game but still come out on top. The Panthers don't look to be a very good team.
Colts VS Texans 24-34- Guess the Texans have finally come of age. The Colts look like they have the SB loser hangover
Packers VS Eagles- 27-20 Mike Vic looks like he is going to start a QB controversy in Philly, not that Kolb has done anything to stop it. The Packers didn't look all that sharp yesterday.
Cowboys VS Skins- 7-13 Guess what? You need to have a good offensive line if you want to win football games. Who would have guessed that? Looks like the donut hole of a team in Dallas may not get to play the SB in their own stadium after all.
Chicago VS Lions- 19-14 Boy that was some call the referees made. It met the letter of the rule, but maybe not its intent
Titans VS Raiders- 38-13 Either the Titams are a really good team this year or Jamarcus Russel wasn't the only problem the Raiders had. So much for the idea of Raider respectability.
Bills VS Dolphins- 10-15 No surprises there
Patriots VS Bengals- 38-24 Looks like Cincy forgot that WRs can't play defense
Falcons VS Steelers- 9-15 This was a bit of a surprise. Everyone talked about the quality of the Falcoms, only they couldn't beat the Steelers when they were missing their starting QB
Cardinals VS Rams- 17-13 Why did Spags have his rookie QB attempt 55 passes?
49ers VS Sea hawks- 31-6 This game was a real shocker as I believed the conventional wisdom that said the 49ers were going to be division champs while the Sea Hawks were going to be cellar dwellers
Broncos VS Jaguars- 17-24 The Jags continue to show that you never know how they will play. Either that or the Broncos are not a very good team this year. Guess they miss the league's leading sacker.
Browns VS Buccaneers- 14-17 Guss someone had to win

2. The Saints looked a bit hung over from the post SB partying |
|
The Vikings could have won that game if Farve had reported to camp before the start of the regular season. Last year the Vikings played the Browns, so a rusty performance by Farve wasn't an issue. This time the Vikings were facing a tough team and it was a poor time for their starting QB to shake off the rust.

3. A lot of 3rd & longs and 3 two-minute drives is |
|
probably why Bradford threw the ball 55 times. I'll explain why he had 3. He had 2 in the final 2 minutes where he threw 2 interceptions. The defense did a pretty good job of shutting Steven Jackson down. He broke free on a couple of runs but for the most part was held in check. Bradford's numbers don't look great but he is a big reason why the Rams were in the game until the very end. The biggest reason is the Cardinals fumbling the ball 7 times, losing it 4 times(Which is why Bradford had two 4 QTR 2-minute drive possessions).
Anyways it is just the first week. Adjustments will be made, chemistry will be developed, etc. that you can't really get a good impression of what this team is going to be like. All you know is that there will be 16 teams that are 1-0 and 16 teams that are 0-1 (unless there is a tie somewhere).
