3. You think you'd never see it happen . . .
I remember seeing the banners welcoming the Giants to The City in downtown San Francisco in '58. I was six.

I remember Willie McCovey's line drive caught by Bobby Richardson. What a heartbreak.

I remember the World Series Earthquake of 1989.

I remember having a 3-2 game lead over those fallen Angels, only to have my heat break again.

It's all Okay now.

4. I've been a Giants fan..
since I was a kid in Los Altos. We used to take the bus up to Candlestick. For all my optimism, deep inside I thought it would never happen...not my lifetime. Now I know how Red Sox fans felt n 2004..

11. The parade is Wednesday morning.
This has to be a dream.
But I;'ll be there!!!

The Giants' victory parade will start at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Montgomery and Washington streets and go southbound on Montgomery to Market Street before continuing west on Market Street to Civic Center Plaza.

After the parade, Mayor Gavin Newsom will present the team with the key to the city on the steps of City Hall.

The parade will replicate the route taken by the team when they came to San Francisco from New York in 1958.
