Damn Yankee Media Bias
LAst night on the Sports Machine, George Michael reported the Twins' heroic victory against the New York Yankees as the Yankees "self-destructing". Hey ESPN! Hey FOX! Hey SI! The Yankees often lose to other teams becuase that's baseball. They aren't always in charge of their own fate. They lost and the heroic Minnesota Twins won.

We got used to this kind of treatment over an 86 year priod of training to get used to losing in the clinch. Have a decaf and relax. It will pass......until the next game anyway. :smoke:

2. Yea well right now I'm liking Sox fans over every other fan
First off I'm one of the types that living here in Arizona it's just great to meet someone from the northeast...even if they are a Red Sox fan from Boston. Hell I like people from Boston overall. In the scheme of things New Yorkers and Bostonians have some core things ya gotta admit that.

But anyways awhile ago I made good friends with this fellow who grew up right outside of Fenway (I grew up in the South Bronx) and we just had the most awesome conversations about baseball because he was a true fan and so was I.

The type of people that get me pissed are the freakin posers who talk shit about the Yankees just because they think it's cool. When challenged they usually respond with "oh well I don't even like baseball LAKERS BABY!" :eyes:

5. Oh..
I am a Red Sox fan, but I am a recent convert.

This is just pointless gnashing of teeth, anyway...

3. It's an east coast bias
Yankees and Red Sox. Red Sox and Yankees. The White Sox still have the best record in baseball, the Twins are playing well, as usual, the Cardinals are playing well, as are the Cubs. Now what do all these teams have in common? They are all Midwestern teams who are largely ignored by the east coast media. I am a Cub fan who actually did the unthinkable last year. I rooted for the Cardinals in the World Series last year precisely because of the east coast bias. Aaaaaarrrrgggghhh!

4. I think the Red Sox are playing the Cubs this weekend
I was hoping that would have been the matchup in the WS last year.

11. While I like the Yankees...
They spent more on A-rod, and Jeter than some teams do on their whole roster. for as much money as they pay their players, the yankees ought to win the series atleast every other year.
