Can't find a story online yet. It's very shocking.

4. Niehaus is a Seattle legend
Did you notice over the last 2-3 years the way Dave's play by play began slipping rather alarmingly? I mean, he would almost routinely forget how many outs there were, ball and strike counts, and sometimes during a play he would appear to have trouble following the action and in turn expressing what was going on to the listener.

I guess that kind of stuff comes with age, but I thought he should have hung it up a few years ago. Perhaps he was hanging on hoping to see his beloved Mariners in the WS at least once. It's just too bad that never came to pass..

5. His co-hosts, though, covered for him pretty well I thought.
And he did come up with "Death to Flying Things" for Gutierrez, which even though it's not original I just loved.

6. Yes, we did notice that
But even though all the co-hosts are perfectly adequate, none of them had the right voice.
