1. Isn't that why the NFL did away with the point differential as a tie-breaker in the standings?

That led to some pretty ugly finishes in its time. The point differential institutionalized poor sportsmanship.

5. It's still in there, it's just so far down on the list it rarely comes into play.

It starts around the 6th or 7th tiebreaker, depending on the situation.

The Chiefs had the score run up against them a few times last year, and Coach Haley always shook hands after the game. The fact that he withheld the handshake this one time speaks more to McDaniels being a douchebag than it does Haley being a bad sport.
