Johnson Captures 5th Straight NASCAR
HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Jimmy Johnson ran a steady race in Miami on Sunday to edge Denny Hamlin for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship for a record-setting fifth consecutive title.

In consolation, Carl Edwards captured the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, his second straight race victory. Edwards won last week in Phoenix.

Johnson finished second in the race finale and claimed the title by 39 points over Hamlin. Kevin Harvick, who entered the race 46 points behind the lead, finished third in the race and third in the standings, 41 points behind Johnson.
