Titans coach Jeff Fisher has seen enough. Vince Young is through as his starting quarterback after another post-game meltdown.
Young suffered a torn flexor tendon in his thumb during the second half and did not return despite being seen on the sideline line warming up. Rusty Smith closed out the contest in a 19-16 overtime loss to the Redskins. Fisher said Young has lost his job regardless of his thumb injury.
As Young was leaving LP Field, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports Young threw his shoulder pads into the stands as he left the field. Minutes later, he left the locker room in street clothes. <...>
Young faced a lot of boos from the home crowd on Sunday, something he has struggled dealing with in the past. He waved to the fans at one point, as if to ask for more. Fisher was visibly upset with Young after the game. <...>

It's a shame IMO. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Young but he's obviously not emotionally--and maybe not intellectually--equipped for the job.
