So much to be thankful for, so little space . . .
I am thankful for former CU president Gordon Gee, now the president of Ohio State, who declared this week that schools outside the Bowl Championship Cartel are unworthy of college football's national championship game.
I'm also thankful to Gee, who presides over an annual athletic budget of $120 million, for opposing a college football playoff because it represents "a slippery slope to professionalism."
You just can't get wisdom like this anywhere but academia.
In a related story, Gee is expected to announce any day that Ohio State will opt out of the national college basketball playoff called March Madness as a matter of principle.
I am thankful for Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour, who brought smiles to the faces of women across America when he smacked Ben Roethlisberger....
