Tom Brady to endorse UGG as it breaks into men's apparel
<snip>

"UGG is expanding its footprint into men's apparel, and they are counting on Tom Brady to help them.

The Australian company primarily known for its line of women's footwear has signed the New England Patriots QB to an endorsement contract.

UGG is launching a marketing push for its men's product line and will highlight Brady as it seeks to sell more apparel to men.

"This partnership marks a new season for UGG Australia, and Tom Brady is the ideal first endorser for the brand," said Angel Martinez, CEO of UGG's parent company.

"He embodies the stylish casual attitude that is at the foundation of every product we make, and is as much a style icon off the field as he is a playmaker on it."

2. Since women buy more clothes for men than men do
I certainly hope the ads are designed to appeal to women! I had a Super Bowl party once where a couple of women were fighting over a Tom Brady ad they'd ripped out of a magazine (most of my women friends don't pay so much attention to the games, unfortunately).

4. Is Tom Brady in the Hair Club for Men?
<snip>

"Tom Brady might not be all he seems ... under the helmet.

The National Enquirer is reporting that the New England quarterback's shaggy 'do is hiding the fact he has been consulting a hair transplant specialist.

The tabloid claims Brady's car was seen earlier this month outside the Leonard Hair Transplant Association in Cranston, R.I.: "Tom wants help with his thinning hair and bald spot," a source said.

The Enquirer said much of the impetus comes from his wife, Gisele Bundchen, who "wants to maintain that perfect-couple image -- the handsome quarterback with a head full of hair and the stunning model with her own long flowing locks."

In other words, she doesn't want to marry a Tom Brady and end up with a Terry Bradshaw."

16. Kinda funny - Uggs were men's (or unisex) footwear when they started
In the US it was mainly surfers who wore them at first, then they seemed to disappear for a long time, and now they're back as women's wear...
