OK, trumad
It's enough. You can take down the avatar now. It's just too painful to see.

They have a Heat avatar, I assume? We can do Celts/Heat avatar bets as the season wears on.

They need to stuff Henne in a bottle and let him out with the tide.

1. Nope--- a bet is a bet and I'll keep it for the week.
besides... someday Brady and Bill B. will retire and the shoe might be on the other foot.

Remember---it wasn't to long ago that you guy's were nothing more than snow plowing Patsies.

2. That was 1981
Edited on Mon Jan-03-11 09:50 PM by WilliamPitt
Granted, 1982, 1983, and 1984 weren't much better...and 1985-1986 led to an historic 47-10 Super Bowl annihilation...followed by the humiliations of 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, the solid yet ultimately fruitless season of 1996-1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000...

...but since then, we've owned your asses. Kinda.

P.S. Sports forum kids get extra credit if they can name the one championship season the 'Phins can claim.

Hint: it wasn't last year. Or the year before that, or that, or that, or that, or that, or that, or that, or that, or that...etc.

:P

10. Funny, I thought I attended two Dolphins championship parades as a kid
32-2 combined record in '72 and '73, the best 2-year winning percentage ever.

An undefeated season trumps a handful of scattered titles. Deep down, fans of every other team realize that, leading to all the simplistic threads. In 50 years plenty of teams will match 3 titles in 4, or whatever it was. Blender.

And I strongly believe the '73 title was culminated during Nixon's second administration, as brief as it was. A political forum shouldn't botch the basics in that regard.

11. Forgot to mention
Edited on Tue Jan-04-11 06:28 PM by Awsi Dooger
The Snow Plow game was '82, not '81.

No one has ever won a man-to-man bet with me, despite more than a dozen attempts. I tend to retain the details, i.e. Mark Henderson.
