You've now raised your all-time record against the SEC in bowl games to a sterling 1-9! And now, thanks to you, the Big 1? can proudly proclaim that "one out of four ain't bad!"
All-time, the SEC vs. the Big 1? in bowl games stands at 39-24, SEC. In other words, 62% to 38%. That's a rather substantive advantage. Remember that these records are taken only from the years that the teams have actually been members of their conferences. For instance, the SEC cannot count Alabama's two Sugar Bowl wins over Penn State prior to 1990. Just in case anyone's wondering, here are how the individual teams have performed against the other conference in bowl games:
Alabama 5-3 Arkansas 0-4 (looks like the Big 1? actually has found an SEC whipping boy) Auburn 7-3 Florida 6-4 Georgia 7-0 Kentucky 1-1 LSU 3-2 Ole Miss 0-1 Mississippi State 1-0 South Carolina 2-1 Tennessee 7-5 Vanderbilt 0-0
Illinois 0-3 Indiana 0-2 Iowa 4-2 Michigan 7-4 Michigan State 1-5 Minnesota 2-1 Northwestern 0-2 Ohio State 1-9 Penn State 6-3 Purdue 1-2 Wisconsin 1-6
