Brett Favre's sister faces charges after Mississippi meth bustBy Cindy Boren
Brett Favre's younger sister, Brandi, will be arraigned today in a Mississippi court on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and generation of hazardous waste, both felonies.
Favre, 34, and two others were arrested Wednesday after a meth lab was found in a condominium in Diamondhead, Miss. In addition, two other men were arrested and charged with sale of a controlled substance. One of the men was also charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute.
Matt Karl of the Hancock County, Miss., sheriff's department, said officers are "very familiar" with Brandi Favre. According to the Associated Press, Favre was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in connection with a drive-by shooting at a motel in Slidell, La., in 1996. Three years later, she and two other women were booked for felony shoplifting. Upon completion of a program, her charges were erased.
