Sports Illustrated is reporting new information on seven-time Tour de France winner (and American hero) Lance Armstrong, and his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs.
The full story, which was reported by Selena Roberts and David Epstein, will run in the January 24th issue of SI, but an online preview of it ran today.
Armstrong and his former Postal Service team are currently the object of a federal investigation into doping allegations, and as the piece points out, “If a court finds that Armstrong won his titles while taking performance-enhancing drugs, his entourage may come to be known as the domestiques of the saddest deception in sports history.”
But we already knew that Armstrong was being investigated. What we didn’t know were some of the gritty details regarding his alleged doping. ..............(more)
