I'm rooting for the Packers on political grounds.
I read that they're a municipally-owned corporation...so technically, if they win the Super Bowl, it's a victory for SOCIALISM!

(If only we could get a large group of people to go to Dallas with cheesehead hats and red flags!)

7. There might be a website for Houston Packers.
If not try going to the Packer's website and there might be a place to locate them.

8. I did...It's called the cheddarheadpack.com. The bar they hang
out is too far away. :( Sometimes quite a few end up at Fox and Hound. That is always a lot of fun. My son (a Lions fan) is always outnumbered, but the manager always gives him the party room, with sound, because he's polite and he feels sorry for the Lions fan thing.

13. The Bears
wouldn't have even made the playoffs if the ref's hadn't blown the call in the final seconds of week 1. Their entire season was one lucky break after another. Tell your son better times are comin' for Lions fans!

2. The entire NFL is a socialist enterprise
Most of the revenue is from TV and that's divided equally between the teams.

Also, most of the teams play their games in stadiums owned by the government.

9. I hate the Steelers more than I hate the Packers.
Ergo, I have to root for the Packers. But I still hate them.

12. I'm rooting for the Packers for other reasons.
I rooted for the Packers vs the Bears because I dislike Jay Cutler.

I rooted for the Steelers vs the Jets because I dislike loudmouth Rex Ryan and the team's entire arrogant swagger.

I am now rooting for the Packers to beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl, this year, because of Ben "She said NO!!!!" Rapelisberger.

In addition, Aaron Rodgers went to Cal (UC Berkeley), a liberal university in a more liberal (than before November 2010) state.

15. I'm Rooting For The Steelers, Against My Better Judgment
While i like all your reasons (except the hate Cutler part), and rooted for the Bears last Sunday, i am genetically incapable of rooting for the Packers.

I almost always root for the NFC team in the Superbowl, just because the Bears are NFC. But, i can't, can't, can't bring myself to root for the Pack.

This is despite the fact that i rooted for the Steelers against NYJ for the same reason you did. This despite the fact that i agree with you about Rothlisberger.

But this brings me to a question: It seems like your dislike for Ben is well-founded and a good reason. Why would you dislike Cutler this much? He didn't do what guys like Vick, or Ben, or a whole laundry list of others have done. I know i'm a Bear fan, but your ire seems misplaced. I'd really like to know where the disike of Cutler comes from.
