Celebrities, national media react to Super Bowl snow 'debacle'

His team in shambles, his big Super Bowl week drowned by weather, Jerry Jones still found plenty of reasons to smile earlier this week.

But can he today?

Jones might be frowning after another blast of winter has slammed Texas.

Several inches of snow made driving hazardous and prompted the cancellation of flights at airports just two days before the Super Bowl at Jones' Cowboys Stadium.

The Dallas Morning News columnist Tim Cowlishaw tells his Twitter followers welcome to "Siberia" and adds, "Was supposed to be in high 40s Sunday, now they're talking about more snow? No impact on game, of course. Serious impact on another SB here."

Nice comment. :sarcasm: And people wonder why we get a little prickly up here.

4. All the years I went to school in Dallas...
we never had classes canceled for four days in a row. This is one hell of a storm. I guess Jerry Jones angered the higher authority.

6. This has been exactly my point about playing in cold weather cities.
At least the stadium has a closed roof.

Isn't in New York next year?

7. Next year is Indy.
Then New Jersey.

But one point to remember is that a storm like this would have disrupted flights to Miami too. And especially if they originated from the home of America's Team.

8. Of course.... connections and all...
But Miami Airport and Ft.Lauderdale isn't closed...and no one got whacked by 1000 pounds of ice today.

I'm using Miami as an example... San Diego--- Tampa--- Hell even San Fran if they had a decent stadium.

11. Probably pretty cold
seeing as how it's snowing as far south as Austin (!!) -- but the Dome is only a few blocks from the French Quarter, St. Charles street car, etc. So "yeah you rite, chere"!

16. I think it should be in each NFL city, one by one. Elements be damned.
If people are stupid enough to spend that kind of money on a ticket...well...it is what it is. I'd love to be there with my dad, who got me to cut my teeth on the Packers. Would that I could afford it.

18. No. Just having the Saints in the SB last year damn near killed BossHOG. Imagine if the SB
was there every year. BOSSHOG would have never made it to adulthood!!1!!

10. here in San Diego
it's 61 and sunny. A bit windy, and a bit chilly in the evenings. We're having a Santa Ana right now, but it should be over by Sunday.

20. If it were Indy this year it would have been even worse
You can ice skate on most parking lots around here. Indianapolis public schools have been closed all week.

Bottom line is, bad weather happens. It's not the fault of Jerry Jones or the NFL that Dallas got some real winter weather for a change and yeah, it does kind of suck for fans who wanted to do all kinds of fun stuff outdoors. But that's life - you can plan a vacation and get hit by a hurricane.

Still, I'm glad that if it had to snow on anyone's parade it was Jones' show that got dumped on...

22. Really---
Let's see--- Dallas or Miami?

I've lived in both places and by far Dallas sucks the most.

Landlocked and incredibly boring place to live.

Plus---Fucking Bush lives there.
