Los Angeles Dodgers denied of $200 million loan
"In search of money, Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt planned to borrow $200 million from Fox to keep the club running. But commissioner Bud Selig rejected the proposal several weeks ago, according to a Los Angeles Times report.
Frank McCourt, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is in the middle of a divorce trial

McCourt proposed to use the Dodgers' cable TV rights as collateral, extending the team's current TV contract by as many as four years if he defaulted on the loan. Had McCourt not paid it back , Fox would have secured an extension with the Dodgers' rights at about $50 million per year.

McCourt, in the middle of a divorce, is exploring ways to manage a $430 million debt, as of November 2009, according to court papers."

1. He was
'ordered Friday to pay his wife, Jamie McCourt, $225,000 in temporary spousal support and $412,159 a month for property mortgages, TMZ reported.

McCourt was ordered to make the payments to his wife retroactive to last December, meaning he needs to cut a check for about $2.8 million. . .

The judge order that she must pay the $8.26 million in attorney's fees. To help pay the fees, the judge ruled the couple must sell their Cabo San Lucas home that is valued at $7 million.'

2. I recently found out McCourt was married to a daughter
of Jack Luskin, owner of a chain of appliance stores.
