I went to my first baseball game in a couple years
and despite losing it was great, well I think that we should have won because some idiot screwed with Newhan while he was trying to make the play and then the next at bat some wacko was messing with Bigbie but I think Daniel Cabrera pitched a good game but his offense failed him. So while I am mad about losing, I was just so happy to see a game.

1. Glad you had a good time. There's nothing like it.
Ever go to any minor league games? Those, I think, are even more fun.

2. Yeah I have a few times
Once to a AA Bowie Baysox game, Once to A Prince William Cannons(at the time) game that game was the closest I ever got to getting a foul ball but the kid who had lost it asked for it back and I was like 7-8 then, and once to a AAA Norfolk Tides game which was very cool since my brother and I actually gotta go on the field for something, funny thing was, the Tides manager was the O's first base coach now Rick Dempsey and I think that was 1998 and I think one of my favorite players now, Melvin Mora was on the team, he was still in the mets organization, man that guy was a steal, stupid mets hahaha, I love Mora, such a classy guy.

3. You're right about Cabrera
I've got him on my fantasy team. he's a much better pitcher than his W-L record shows.

4. Hes inconsistent but if he works on it
He'll be a great pitcher. He pitched well enough to win last night, and hes not a bad pitcher, hes not even 25 yet but hes doing all right, I think he will turn out better than Sidney Ponson though, Ponson like Cabrera can be inconsistent but I think Cabrera will be able to improve his stuff and maybe be a 20 game winner someday, Sidney I really dont have much faith in, hes only got the record he has this year because our offense spoils him, before Erik Bedard went on the DL, he had the worst run support, damnit we need Bedard back but yes Cabrera only really IMO allowed one run last night, Newhan should have caught that ball that the idiot in the outfield bleachers messed with, but our offense didnt help him out either but thats ok I guess, we all have days like this, it just had to be my day to see the O's play where they only got one run, I swear I am a curse.

5. Glad you had a good time!
I thought about you last night and wondered if that was the game you were going to. Although I liked the result (I'm sorry) I was sure you wouldn't.

There's nothing like being at a game in person.

and to be fair, we really should have gone into extra innings last night because some fuckhead fucked with the ball Newhan almost had, didnt help that we werent good in the clutch though to be fair. I also am rooting for the pirates tonight so we can get that game back.

realized that there are people who hate the Yankees even more than I do but it seems also like Tom Yawkey wasnt the only executive for a major franchise with racist views. Seems like George Weiss and Larry McPhail were both guilty as well. So while its true that the Red Sox have a racist history, the Yankees are no means the same, so I got a little refution everytime someone says as a justification for why the yanks are "better" than the sox. On a funny side note, I remembered that the Yankees of today are technically the original Orioles, too bad that Ruth never played ball in his hometown, that woulda been cool and it would be a Baltimore team that would be the team everyone knew, oh I can dream but I can also enjoy this year.
