Breaking: US Formula One race may not happen (due to start in 30 minutes)

There's a safety issue with tires. Standoff now between Michelin and FIA.

1. the whole issue with tires in F1 is a mess

New rule this year that you have to keep using the same tires for a couple of races, and it's ridiculous.

4. The problem comes from

trying to adjust the suspension to run on a flat track and a high speed banks. It just eats up the left rear tire.
When there is enough suspension travel to allow it to compress on the banks, it rides too high on the flats. There may not be a solution to this one.

3. Michelin won't guarantee safety unless a chicane is added

THis is a farce. This is atrocious. The fans are furious and I don't blame them.

10. I enjoyed a bit of a nap, then a 4 mile run.

But the U.S. Grand Prix cost me only a small fraction of my monthly cable bill. If I'd paid to travel to Indianapolis and attend, I'm pretty sure I'd never watch another second of F1 again in my life.

6. What a farce. My apologies to the US

for screwing up your Grand Prix. If this had been the first time they'd raced at the track, maybe there'd be an excuse for having tyres that can't handle the track - but it's not. Michelin screwed up, and, as far as I'm concerned, the Bridgestone teams should get the championship points, and Michelin or their teams should refund the money of the spectators.

I think all the teams that didn't start the race should lose their points, too.

THis is the fifth year, I think, at this track. This is not new to them.
