Bruins' Horton to miss remainder of playoffs
Boston Bruins forward Nathan Horton will miss the remainder of the Stanley Cup Final due to a severe concussion suffered during Game 3 on Monday.

Horton was injured at 5:07 of the first period on a check by Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome. Horton remained on the ice for several minutes and eventually was removed on a stretcher and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Rose was assessed a five-minute major for interference and game-misconduct. TSN is reporting he will meet with NHL Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations Mike Murphy for potential supplemental discipline on Tuesday.

Horton's 8 goals and 17 points are second on the team, and he's played a key role on the Bruins' top line, with David Krejci and Milan Lucic. Earlier this postseason, he became the first player in NHL history to score the winning goal in two Game 7s in one playoff year. He scored the overtime series-winner against the Montreal Canadiens in the first round, and scored the only goal of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

We'll find out later today just how serious the League really is on this stuff, or if it's just talk for the regular season.

3. Double exactly
Just 'cuz it pisses me off.

If you can't play without intentionally trying to injure players on the opposition, you need to sit down and STFU, put your frikkin skates away.

4. The biting shit didn't bother me, but this was clearly a cheap hit.
Biting will result in a shot to avoid infection. This kind of stuff jeopardizes a player's career.

I can think of only one way to exact a just revenge. Win the Cup. :)

9. Really? The bruins have 73 misconducts this year, Vgancouver has 31
Shoving your fingers in someone's mouth is okay, bit defending yourself by biting them isn't. Suck it. You and the whiny hypocritcal Bruins nation are fucktard.

6. I've been pushing that idea for decades now.
There are even some former refs who have pushed for it. If you injure a guy on a hit the League determines to be a cheap shot (the offending player should get a prompt hearing for his side of the story), then the offending player should have to sit for the same duration as the injured player does. This shit would practically stop over night.

12. Thinking about Horton for tonight
He has a long road ahead of him, I hope he comes out OK and is ready for next season...don't want to see another Savard situation (or Bergeron, or Krejci, or ex-Bruin Sturm for that matter)...Go B's!!!
