Suck on it you jealous Douchebags. Part Two
Nuff said--- well almost. Congrats to the Dallas Mavericks. They never gave up and deserve the championship.

And Now--- words for the douchebag brigade.

Yuk it up--- but my team is the Eastern Champions and they did it in their first year together.

A tweak here, a point guard there.... and throw in a big man.... the Heat will be unstoppable.

Can't wait for next season.

bitches.

1. Well played series
I enjoyed it. Game 6 wasn't as great as the others. Tyson Chandler was out-rebounding everybody and Dallas was hitting their shots.

I'm also glad in a way this series is over because I would hate to see suspensions for leaving the bench for a Game 7.

James could not or would not shoot when the game was on the line in the 4th quarter.

Party in Cleveland tonight!

5. It's going to be tough to do much with PG and big men at $12 million
over the cap. Maybe they can get something for the mid-level exception.

10. A Fact Tru Doesn't Want To Face
They are in a tough place, even if the new CBA doesn't hamstring teams further.

Now, i'll admit that role players having a hot hand here and there might make a big difference in any given series.

But, i don't see them getting a high end PG. They either aren't available or the Heat won't have the $.

12. My Celtics are in a similar situation.
They might be able to get a serviceable PG, but for big men they're either going to have to get an oft injured one on the "back nine" (like Juwan Howard, Shaq, and Rasheed Wallace were) or someone's overpaid castoff reclamation project (like Jermaine O'Neal). To paraphrase a famous Rick Patino Celtic's quote "Dwight Howard and Chris Paul aren't walking through that door."

Speaking of that, Dwight Howard in Chicago would certainly put a cramp in Lebron's planned 6-peat, and since the Bulls have relatively cheap talent and lost out on the Lebron Sweepstakes, they might be able to put together the money to pay him.

13. Don't Know If They Have The Cap Room Either
Unless Dwight decides he'd take lesser cash to get out of Orlando and to a contender, i don't think the Bulls have that kind of cap room. Although it's not for a couple more seasons, they do have to consider leaving space to resign Rose. They can't have their best player be the 5th or 6th highest paid player for 2 years and then lose him because they don't have the space to sign him when payday time comes.

The fans would run the FO out of town on a rail!

He'd have to take short money and the Bulls would have to replace only the fringe of the team to maintain continuity and add a big piece.

Not something i'm expecting.

14. They'll move Boozer's ridiculous contract before they resign Rose
According to this, they have $13.5 million for next year
http://www.hoopdata.com/salaries/CHI.aspx

That's good enough to start a 4/5 year deal and back-load it. Given their youth and success this year, you're probably right about not wanting (or more accurately, perhaps, not feeling the NEED to) go out and get the big name. They do have a good bit of money to spend and if I understand correctly, next year is Noah's last year on his contract but they could use the Bird exception to resign him.

6. Heck of a series.
Lots of back-and-forth. A blast to watch, no matter who you were cheering for -- I like both teams, and would have been happy no matter who came out on top.

7. The biggest douchebag will always be LeBron James
But I am very happy for Dirk Nowitzki. Seems like a class act, unlike your let's be childish and mock the sick guy idiots on your team. And LeBron got to the finals a couple years ago and imploded the same way. Dallas wrote the script on how to beat the Heat. My prediction is you won't even get to the conference finals anytime soon. There are still Chicago and Orlando etc..

8. Wrong.
He didn't rape anybody.

He didn't kill anybody.

He didn't finance a dogfighting ring.

For fuck's sake, he changed teams. I am disappointed he didn't stay in Cleveland, but leaving for a better situation doesn't make him a douchebag.

9. Yeah, but it will never be more available than this year
First year everyone is afraid of you. Even the haters aren't convinced they can take you down 4 times. Notice the relatively few threads here, until tonight. Everyone was hoping more than believing. Now it's mocking euphoria, and red board delight.

The Heat were healthy and had the home court. Boston won the title the first season with its trio and has failed to duplicate. All season I doubted a team without a legit center or point guard was serious about winning a championship. But there it was, a -180 favorite in the Finals and 15 point lead in game 2, already ahead 1-0.

Devastating. Miami literally blew 3 chances to be a 1/5 series favorite or greater. Win game 2 and we're 1/6 chalk. Win game 4 and we're 1/10 chalk. Win game 5 and we're 1/5 chalk.

Bottom line, you can't throw away two games in a series. Dallas didn't believe until it pulled out game 4. At that point I thought they had every edge. At least I made some money on games 5 and 6, even if some fellow Heat fans on Canes forums didn't like my predictions on those games. Tonight I posted that the Mavs had a better chance to cover the spread in reverse than the Heat had of winning by 6 or more.

BTW, Charles Barkley was a dominant handicapper throughout college and pro postseason. He pegged Dallas in 6 and doubled down on that call even after Miami won game one.

Get a center. I'm sick of the Heat minus any offensive identity other than jumping.
