YES!!! ESPN Radio Reporting NJ Nets - Minn. T-Wolves BLOCKBUSTER
Mark Stein on ESPN Radio was heard after the Finals quoting sources close to both teams as saying that Nets GM Rod Thorn and Timberwolves GM Kevin McHale are talking about a draft-night deal that would send...

(F) Kevin Garnett

to the NJ Nets for:

(F) Richard Jefferson
(C) Nenad Krstic
(F) Clifford Robinson

The Nets would also use their 15th pick in the 2005 draft to select the player the T-Wolves wanted and ship him to them in the deal as well.

So the Nets would end up with Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and Kevin Garnett all on the same team.

Unbelievable!

1. Wow. Just...wow.
If the Nets front office can get some good role players to go along with those guys, they could make a nice run. ;)

5. LOL
Great, you guys will guarantee yourselves a bunch more first round playoff exits.

Garnett could join Vince Carter and the Wifebeater as the three most overrated superstars in the league, and they're all on one team!

7. That trade would allow the T-Wolves
to clear enough caproom to bring in a superstar .... like Kevin Garnett.

I guess Tom Seaver for Pat Zachry, Steve Henderson and Doug Flynn sounded good at the time too, but at least the Mets got something of some little value there.

The Wolves wouldn't get crap for Garnett.

I ope McHale isn't that stupid.

8. The Nets are going to kick all kinds of ass this year!!!!!!!!!
First they traded for Kevin Garnett. That move alone placed them at the top of the NBA.

If that wasn't awesome enuff, then they got Sharif Abdur-Rahim. Having a talent like Sharif on your team already guarantees a nice playoff run. Add him to Kidd, KG, Vince, etc and you are talking EASY favorites for the title!

They also added Jeff McInnis, who's a total winner with a great "team first" attitude. He would start for any team in the league, except of course the Nets and MAYBE Pheonix.

And now a source tells me they are trying to pull off a three team trade with Brian Scalabrine and Zoran Planinic from Jersey to Boston, Paul Pierce to Cleveland, and .....drumroll...... LE BRON JAMES to the Nets!!!! You see, the Cavaliers are seriously afraid their young star will leave for the Knicks in 2 years, and they want to get something for him while they can. Promising young players like Scalabrine and Planinic are a lot to give up, but it will be worth it to get Le Bron.

What's more, by trading Scalabrine and Zoran for Le Bron they will create mucho cap space to go after Yao Ming next summer! Already Ming's agent is hinting the big man wants to play with Jason Kidd and Vince Carter, so it looks like a done deal.

OMG!!!!

9. Umm. There was no Garnett deal, and the Abdur-Rahim deal is off.

Next you'll be telling me that the Nets DIDN'T just win their fourth straight NBA championship, or that Vince Carter DIDN'T actually win a well-deserved MVP award last year. LOL, nice try, but you must be living in some sort of alternate universe -- not the "real" universe inhabited by the original poster and myself!

Oh, I almost forgot: another reason the Nets will go 81-1 this season (every team gets screwed by Dick Bavetta at least once) is the emerging dominance of 2005 draftee Mile Ilic. This tough-as-nails center will terrify the rest of the league by averaging 20 points, 12 boards, and 4 blocks a game. I have it on good authority that Shaq himself has started having recurring nightmares about facing Ilic!

11. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT EVER scare me like this again!!!
No way the T-Wolves would ever trade away somebody like KG, until he's an over-the-hill 40 year old, which won't be for many years.

Methings this is just a wet dream of Magic Rat's. KG to the Nets? You wish! :)
