As of June 26, the Washington Nationals have 40 wins. In 2010 they didn't hit 40 wins until July 16th. In 2009 not till August 9. That's some real improvement. Both Cincinnati and Cleveland also have 40 wins. Texas, the AL champs from last year have 41 wins. Can the Nats keep this up for the rest of the year? Who knows but interesting enough they are playing well even though Adam LaRoche is gone and some of their big bats like Werth and Zimmermann aren't hitting. It's really a pleasure to watch them play right now. As they've been dubbed on twitter, they are juggernats!

1. I watched a little of the Nationals earlier

on WGN. They were trailing 1-0 when I saw that Roxeanne was on. Nice that they pulled out the 'W'.

To make the case as NL ROY candidate. He not only hit the winning HR today but made a nice defensive play to end the game.

I get the feeling having someone familiar with the players was important. I'd take him over Valentine anyway fwiw.
