1. McIlroy just hit an incredible bunker shot on the 18th
And made the putt.

It looks wide open for the weekend as everyone is within 7 shote of the lead.

2. On THat Course. . .
. . .they're particularly brutal. Practically every one of them has that built up 90 degree wall. No low skidders coming out of those.

If the wind really starts blowing, it's going to be an adventure if a guy has to hit one down wind. The ball might never stop.

3. Looks like Mickelson has a good chance for his first Open
And Rickie Fowler could win his first ever tournament. He played great today.

but I think we've heard the last of the Tiger Man, his wife put a hex on him, and he'll never win another tournament again. JMHO.

8. To me, the British Open is the event in golf.
The links blow the American courses away. Great to se the weather play a huge factor. THE Open has become one of my favorite weekends. And that comes from watching the highlights on ESPN. I have no chance of seeing live action. With the exception of the 'morrow.

9. Looks like Mickleson is making quite a run
I kind of like him, so go Phil! Except that I don't really care all that much about golf, so if he doesn't win, no big deal.
