A's blow a 7-2 lead; lose to Yankees 22-9!
Oakland lead 7-2 after 4 innings until Robinson Cano, Russell Martin and Curtis Granderson each hit grand slams in the 5th, 6th and 8th inning.

"It was the most runs allowed by the A's since 1955. By the end of the day, things had gotten so silly that longtime Yankees catcher Jorge Posada was playing second base... and he made the final out of the game, nearly getting first baseman Nick Swisher run over with his bullet throw into the dirt.

A's pitching gave up 21 hits, 13 walks and 5 home runs

2. 7-1 at the top of the fourth...that was incredible...If I didn't despise Satan so much,
I'd find this amusing.

3. And to think the A's were early playoff picks based on their pitching...
like other teams they've been decimated by injuries.
