1. Ok so she won....big deal she's ranked #3 in the world....
and I don't understand when Serena gets a hollerin' during her matches, all the talking heads keep jabbering about it....when the screamer does it, not a word is said....I wonder why that is...... :eyes:

3. and now my woman Venus is on.....
GO VENUS GO. I miss Justine Henin, and Kim Clijsters.....loved Justine's game....came to the net, had some finesse, not just banging the ball from baseline to baseline.....I miss that part of the game.

8. I Really LIke Her Too
A little more finesse game than her sister, but still power. They're sort of mirror images. Sarena is power with finesse, and Venus is finesse with power. Interesting.

6. At first I wondered which screamer you meant
Serena, Maria or Venus, they all make asses of themselves doing it. And other women players seem to think it's the way to conduct themsleves now. I've been a tennis player and fan my whole life and women's tennis is almost unwatchable anymore because of it. When I do occasionally watch the women's matches, I find myself mentally rooting for the player who shreeks the less loud and that just sucks. I stick to the men's matches.

7. I hear ya, my sound is on mute most of the time,
to cover the grunts, and the announcers.

11. Never heard of the illness she mentioned...

Guess it's rare. Anyway, I hope she is able to compete again, you hate to see anyone's career end that way. I tend to think she would have lost to Lipsiki, though, who seems to be coming into her own...same with McHale, who beat Woznicki twice recently and some other big names.
