Here's the change:
Everybody gets two optional bye weeks up through Week 15. You can miss two weeks for whatever reason, though weeks 16 and 17 are mandatory (there's still some strategy in which weeks to miss when you think about it). I do hope everyone can play at least 15 weeks -- didn't seem to be a big problem last year.
We'll keep two tiers, a top tier for 15+ week players and a secondary tier with fewer than those. This keeps it fairer for the regulars. Plus, you know, life happens. But play less than 12 weeks and you'll be dropped from standings.
If you miss week 16 or 17 you'll be dropped to the second tier unless your weeks total is less than 12.
NOTE: The only Thursday game we'll play will be the season opener, New Orleans at Green Bay. I'll post the spread for this game and all Week 1 games on September 6th.
I'll post spreads Thursday morning except for weekends with Saturday games; those will be posted Wednesday. Our "official" spreads will come from
http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_point_spreads.shtml. Pushes (ties) will not count in standings. If necessary, you can PM your picks to me in advance of me posting them.
