****COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WEEK 4****
I shit you not. There was literally a rumor every two hours about re-alignment, today. Missouri to the SEC. Oklahoma trying to save the Big 12 (with specific anti-Texas demands). Big East officials meeting in NYC. And a scathing report about the NCAA in Atlantic Magazine http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/10/the-shame-of-college-sports/8643/1/ Just another dull day. But rest assured, jabronies. The games go on and that's why we're all fucking here. Some great pickin', pickers. Six of ya's went 10-5. Only a couple of losers and two of them reside in the same house! Sheer idiocy. The last week of non-conference games. Thanks to Jeebus for that because this week's fare fucking sucks. I had to resort to listing a Kentucky game. For shame, Percy. Never mind the Bollocks. Here's the slate. No Thursday or Friday games. So, Saturday before kick. Noon EDT.

Saturday, Sept 24

2. I think Chris Rainey will score 5 touchdowns on my sorry
ass Wildcats. Percy get Joker out of here is the rumble among the sporting class. The line I saw was Florida 19 but it should be 40. Never mind the whining, here come some shit talking winners.
....different kind of Wildcat

Georgia Tech, bad press for North Carolina football
Michigan, losing seems like a dream to me now
Pittsburg, Screw Notre Dame
Georgia, really doesn't matter there will be a coaching change
Miami, K State barely beats EasternKY, but does kick MAC ass at home, different in the Sun & Fun Capital, cheaters will prevail
Texas A & M, Going to go with the boys from College Station. I would handicap a toss up on this game.
Florida State, I know Clemson has the big head. Beating Wofford by 8 will do that.
Alabama, I really do not like Petrino, he is a complete prick.
OSU, the Buckeyes rise from the ashes, Buffs caught in a stand
Kentucky, I never had a lick of sense, Will 70,000 show up? Will I be busy with customers before the game, Should I take the plastic alligator to work to abuse like Basketball season?
Vandy, The stars align against the Ol' Ballsack Coach, Vandy may be having one of those every 20 year seasons of wins.
Oklahoma, Missouri may be better than usual.
West Virginia, I think LSU will win by 1, should be a good game and you know they are not looking past the Mountaineers at their next game at home with UK.
Oregon, dry weather and clear sky.
Arizona State, USC is going to be down this year and we all know it.

6. Picks...
Wow. I have no clue on any of these really. I've been so busy at work, and at home trying to help my wifey with the two young boys (since she's knocked-up with the third already ), that I've paid very little attention to any sports since mid-summer. It's just luck that I'm doing decently in my picks so far.

Georgia Tech
Michigan
Pittsburgh (I root against ND football 'cause they refuse to join the Big East, and now I'm kind of against Pitt because they are abandoning the Big East. Who do I root against??)
Georgia
Kansas State
Texas A&M
Clemson
Alabama
The Ohio State University
Florida
South Carolina
Missouri
LSU
Arizona
USC

12. My prediction regarding conference re-alignment:
The SEC will add teams from Texas, North Carolina and Virginia, while easing Kentucky out the door.

Then they will secede from the NCAA, and proceed to quarrel among themselves because each team refuses to recognize the authority of the conference's ruling body.

Picks:

North Carolina
Michigan
Pittsburgh
Mississippi
Miami(Fla)
Little Okies
Florida State
Alabama
Ohio State
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Big Okies
LSU
Oregon
Arizona State

Been following him for a couple weeks, now. He's got a source, obviously in the B1G offices. http://northwestern.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=57&tid=163241898&mid=163241898&sid=901&style=2

14. Kentucky will stay
Founding member of the SEC. The Conference has always enjoyed the prestige of Kentucky Basketball.
Besides, We won a National Title in football once. Lots of other schools cannot claim that. We are in the top 25 in attendance with a 70,000 seat stadium
Vanderbilt, having a good start this season, would be my first guess. They have more stringent entrance rules, and it makes it harder to recruit.
We will be back in football after our 50 year rebuilding program is over. That is if the Bear Bryant Curse lifted. We should buy his estate a Cadillac.

Oh yeah it may be a moot point after Florida comes to town. I am so old that when I started @ UK we had an edge over Florida in wins all time.

18. But, you see, the state of Kentucky failed the purity test 150 years ago.
Can't have that, not seceding and all.

If it plays out as I hypothesized, the conference will consist of 16 or so teams from a certain eleven states. They could even rename it something like the "Conference of Southern Athletics". I can hear it now: "CSA! CSA! CSA!"

I figure a lot of people locally would be all for it. Of course, this is a crazy place I'm stuck in...

Actually, I'm kidding about booting Kentucky-- they bring a lot to the conference, and not just basketball.
