Yankees kick Red Sox while they are down (9-1)

Thank heavens football season is here...

"The Yankees’ thrashing of the Red Sox was a case of a pitiful team in need of mercy and an opponent showing it none..."

1. It's pretty ugly.
How bad do you have to be to turn your own fan base against you? I ask this not because it isn't easy, you see it all the time with other teams, but the Red Sox? Man, they stink!:banghead:

2. Problem is, Francona and Theo will blame the pitching and the wortless Boston media will buy that
However, the picthing thye have now has done decently through most of the season...the problem is Theo's and Francona's lackadaisacl attitude...Francona especially is unable to keep a team focused, and this is the 4th straight year we've seen that...he needs to go, but he won't and next year will even be worse.

3. Wasted most of my day with Boston teams...at least the Sox won a biggie tonight.

Patriots mess wasn't pretty.

Ellsbury is one of the few Bosox players with heart through this dismal streak. Crawford......just horrible. They are saddled with him and Lackey...wish they could dump them both.

4. Lackey wasn't awful yesterday...
That's the best you can hope for from him...though he and Crawford were major bone-headed acquisitions.

5. Surprised at how un-awful Lackey was (though it's all relative).
Let's see how the next three days go!

6. If they win tonight, I have hope...first "streak" in about a month...
Maybe holding on and winning last night felt like a new experience and they liked it!
