I'm not going to speak for Braves fans, but I'd rather see Tampa get in with a chance to do some damage than the Sox go 3 and out. Pitching rules in the playoffs and the Red Sox had none.

Unfortunately this may mean that Ellsbury won't get the MVP, but Verlander is just as deserving a candidate.

Once Dan Johnson hit the home run for the Rays in the 9th, I knew the Red Sox were done. I was just waiting for Pap to blow the save. I'm not sure they stood much of a chance in the 1 game playoff.

Now I have to figure out who I'm going to root for in the playoffs.
