Thank you Washington Nationals
Lost in the WC end of season hubbub is the fact that my Nats ended up pretty damn close to the .500 mark I predicted at 80-81 and finishing 3rd in the NL East.
Some people mocked me at the beginning of the season. But they were playing as well as anybody at the end of the season sweeping the Mets in NY, sweeping Philly in Philly and taking 2-3 from the Braves in DC and winning in Florida in the last game at Sunlife stadium. Plus, Strasburg yesterday looked fully his old self pitching 6 innings with 10k's 2BB, 0 Runs and 2 hits.
Great year guys and I'm excited about what 2012 will bring this very young team. They are no longer the doormats of the NL East.:) :

1. They're going to be fun to watch
over the next few years. Too bad they're in the toughest division in the NL.

Look at it this way, the Dodgers forfeited that game, therefore, the Nats record is 81-81.

Now if the Bucco's could have had a few dozen forfeit wins over the last half of the year,

5. Another wild card is expected to be added..
either next year or for the start of the 2013 season. Which should only help teams like the Nats....they might actually be a contender.

They were a lot of fun to watch this year, except when Lannan pitched. He makes me throw things at the TV. Nats are now in the top 15 and stand to lose a #1 pick if they sign a free agent (CJ Wilson), oops. Stras will be opening in Chicago around April 5th next year. Can't wait.
