4. It's a rare thing in America nowadays when we can praise a man who deserves his success
Way to go, Joe.

5. I was there
Joe's post-game speech was pretty cool. He used the opportunity to remind everyone how influential Eddie Robinson was, who he had just passed in the all-time wins list. From the York (PA) Daily Record:

Paterno picked up another honor, passing former Grambling State University coach Eddie Robinson by recording his 409th career victory and becoming the all-time victories leader in NCAA Division I football.

...

Paterno gushed at the honor, noting he considered Robinson and Florida A&M coach Jake Gaither "two of the greatest people we've ever had in college football."

"Those two men opened up the doors for the African American community," Paterno said. "(African American football players) had no place to go. The SEC wouldn't take black kids, there were very few playing up north. Jake Gaither and Eddie Robinson went out and showed people what kind of athletes these kids could be."

6. Nice, my brother was there too
He's a senior at Penn State. I didn't ask if stuck around for the post game speech or not.

It's going to be so weird when Paterno finally packs it up and goes home. He's been coach there for my entire life, and hell, most of my parents' lives as well.
