3. I have had shingles

and quite the case. Once it is over there is no pain. What you might lose is feeling in you face . I lost feeling on the right side of my face. It took 2 years to come back but once the shingles are over it is pretty much done.

although it's not as severe as the initial was, he still feels it. I guess it varies. Maybe I'm imagining it, but nothing sounds worse than a combination of shingles and sweat on a humid, hot day in St. Louis.

I'm glad for you that the worse of your suffering is over.

6. I have never been sicker

It just kicks your ass. As you know it affects 50% of your body and I had a real good case of it. I ended up taking steroids to ease the affects and my nerves did come back. I was younger and that probably helped.
