Terry Bradshaw said the negative effects he's experiencing from concussions have started to effect his on-air performance as a Fox TV analyst.

Bradshaw revealed this week that he is fighting the effects of what he said were at least six concussions he suffered as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1970-83.

Now 62, he's served as a Fox NFL analyst since 1994. He said last year he started to feel serious consequences of memory loss.

3. It makes you wonder how many players have the same disease, but without the
visibility of Bradshaw, never get the help or treatment to try to slow down progression of the disease.

6. mad,
I don't think you have to look past the sad saga of Mike Webster to see the real need for the owners and players association to have a greater influence on all players who've played the game.

4. Wow..
concussions are nasty, and I cannot imagine having received 6 of them. I crashed in a 100 mile cycling event in August 2010, and I hit head and leg first going about 18 miles an hour. I don't have memory loss per se, but there are times when I'll be lecturing and I cannot think of the right word to say- simple words too. They just escape me.

5. Helps explain why someone like Browns' tackle Shaun Rogers
had a gun in a carry-on while going through airport security. His response was he forgot it was in the luggage. I believe him. Brain trauma from concussion affects current players as well retirees.

Also why I support league efforts to tone down the play of Ndamukong Suh and others like him.
