************COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WEEK 12************
Texas Tech is banished from the College Football Pool. Can a team quit anymore than this? What? They've been outscored the last three weeks by, like, 220-27.
God forbid, they get a Bowl bid. A big congrats to Lazarus for a 10-4 week. Outstanding. A very tough week. A shout out to happy for another strong week.
9-5.Brendan takes over the overall lead with a one game edge over Era. Still plenty of time for someone to make an authoritative move up the charts. Thursday
game, so in before kick. Thanks for playing, as always.

Thursday, November 17
North Carolina +13 @ Virginia Tech

Saturday, November 19
Oklahoma State -27 @ Iowa State

6. Jeez, I wish.
Nope, I get to spend this coming weekend is good ol' Scranton, PA and Thanksgiving at my mom's in NJ. I'm hoping Mexico is in the cards for the New Year, but unless I end up with a permanent job, I'm skeptical.
I'm not Mexican, I just study Latin America for a living and all of my research is there, so I'm back and forth frequently. My mom's family is Mediterranean and my Dad's from the Emerald Isle.

13. I need to study more of Latin America
I am a Zoner and really want to go back and visit. Wondering about dual citizenship down there.
We are an outcast minority, screwed by the Great Coca-Cola Republic of the north.

7. Re: Tommy T @ Auburn
The answer from the Auburn Family is a resounding "no" to having him back at the helm. He's a good coach, and every few years will guide the team to better than expected success (see Auburn 2004); CTT runs a clean program, and will pull a major upset out of his bag of tricks at least once a year. The problem with CTT is that he also loses one or more games each year that his team is "not supposed to lose." CTT's recruiting really fell off the cliff his last few years at AU - without sustained recruiting each year, Auburn's program was in a big tail slide when CTT "resigned."

24. Picks....
Edited on Thu Nov-17-11 09:48 AM by brendan120678
So first my "sob story" - we had a Reduction-in-Force at work last Friday (11-11-11) and I was one of the unlucky ones who got the axe. Amazingly - I wasn't really that upset about it. I was starting to look for a new job because that one was starting to become unfun. So now instead of resigning, I get six weeks of severance, two weeks of vacation pay-out, and I am eligible for unemployment while I race to find a new job.

But anyway...here's the picks:

Virginia Tech
Oklahoma State
Michigan
Wisconsin
Georgia
Clemson
Penn State
SMU
Arkansas
Vanderbilt
Ol' Miss
Oklahoma
Texas
USC
Stanford
