Will the overrated Urban Meyer coach Ohio State?
A popular sports blog is citing sources close to the Ohio State University football program that suggest former Florida Gators’ coach Urban Meyer will become the next head coach of the Buckeyes.

SportsByBrooks is reporting that Meyer has agreed to a deal in principle, though nothing has been finalized. Additionally, a website dedicated to Ohio State, Eleven Warriors, has cited sources indicating that Meyer will accept the position once the NCAA delivers their verdict on sanctions against the program.

One report states that Meyer will keep current head coach Luke Fickell on staff, and try to add some big names, including long-time ESPN analyst and former Buckeye quarterback Kirk Herbstreit.

1. I've heard that Urban Meyer also bought a house in the Columbus area.
Even Michigan fans think that Meyer is going to Ohio State.

Though the other comment we agreed on yesterday, was that the who blog thing is real circular. One person makes a comments, everyone else repeats it as fact.

And he'll have the Buckeyes national champs within 4 years.

4. Won't be the first or last time we disagree.
The man has an ego bigger than Newt Gingrich's. That trumps his utter insanity. Ron Zook has done nothing at Illinois. Let's put a little wager on it, tru. I'm good for it.

16. Good piece, tru.
If I were a Gator, I'd be pissed too. Especially in light of who they got now. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is commonplace in College Football. I just wonder about those migraines. He'll take Ohio State to the pinnacle (if he goes there) then bail. Take a couple years off then coach again. An idle coach is an itchy coach. I'll tell you what. He's a damn fine analyst. Love listening to him.

17. its not just his health
He left the Gators with horrible recruiting classes.

Again..the majority of his sucess came from Ron Zook recruited players.

Hey...he might be great for you guys....but he ain't no Tressel.

18. Urban will bring automatic recruting cred with his two rings. It will make the transition easier
and tOSU does not need a "head coach in training".
