1. That is seriously dorked.
Why can't they keep it as an intersectional game?

2. What is the next conference Texas is going to wreck?
Or, are these insanely rich dirtbags finally stuck with the Big 12-4?

15. +1000; UT's greed made Colorado, NU, A&M and Mizzou all look for greener pastures.

3. What are they going to do with their fight songs?
Hullabaloo, Caneck, Caneck
Hullabaloo, Caneck, Caneck
All hail to dear old Texas A&M
Rally around Maroon and White
Good luck to dear old Texas Aggies
They are the boys who show the real old fight
That good old Aggie Spirit thrills us
And makes us yell and yell and yell
So let's fight for dear old Texas A&M
We're gonna beat you all to Chigaroogarem
Chigaroogarem

Rough, Tough, real stuff Texas A&M
Good bye to texas university
So long to the orange and the white

Good luck to dear old Texas Aggies
They are the boys who show the real old fight
'the eyes of Texas are upon you'
That is the song they sing so well
Sounds Like Hell
So good bye to texas university
We're gonna beat you all to Chigaroogarem
Chigaroogarem

Rough, Tough, Real stuff, Texas A&M

Saw varsity's horns off
Saw varsity's horns off
Saw varsity's horns off
Short! A!
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Short! A!

Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
And it's goodbye to A & M.
Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
And we'll put over one more win.
Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
For it's Texas that we love best.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here,
And it's goodbye to all the rest!

Yea, Orange! Yea, White!
Yea, Longhorns! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
Yea, Texas Fight!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
Yea, Texas Fight!
The 'Eyes of Texas' are upon you,
All the live long day!
The 'Eyes of Texas' are upon you,
You cannot get away!
Texas Fight! Texas Fight!
For it's Texas that we love best!
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here!
And it's goodbye to all the rest!

7. Please note that A&M has more issues.
More of an inferiority complex?

Look, they won 18 conference championships over UT. How many do they think they'll win in the SEC? They'll be lucky to ever get into any bowl game.

4. I shouldn't lose sight of another rivalry - the Border War.
The traitorous Missouri Tigers, in leaving the Big 12, are ending a rivalry with the Kansas Jayhawks that is two games older than UT/A&M. Nebraska/Kansas was older too.

8. as uninterrupted rivalries go, Oklahoma-Kansas was longer than both
Edited on Thu Nov-24-11 08:21 PM by fishwax
until that streak ended with the beginning of the Big 12. Sooners and Jayhawks played every year from 1903 until the third year of the Big 12. (Texas and A&M missed a few years in the teens, and they didn't play the Border War in 1918.)

The KU-NU rivalry was older than the OU-KU rivalry, though.

9. Those "few years in the teens" were due to...
A&M having academically ineligible players that UT would not condone.

10. Rece Davis really gave it to both parties
Strung five consecutive condemning words at the open of the telecast.

I agree. Nobody wins, as someone who used to savor the Canes/Gators games, regardless of how the season had gone.

A game of Aggie turnovers.

Earlier the announcer said Texas would do well in Dancing With the Stars. One two three - kick.
