Yanks 3 outs from 1st place
Edited on Mon Jul-18-05 10:42 PM by newyorican
O's lose WIN (sorry bout that, misheard the announcer)
Red Sox lose

Yanks are 3 outs from winning.

That will put them ahead of the Red Sox and into first place. For now.

Will the Empire Strike Back?

10. Club with 9 men standing at the end of the season will win
O's have had a whole slew of guys out, Yanks have had the same only concentrated on pitchers. The first team to get healthy may be able to run away with it before the others get better.

11. Yep and I think we're on the right track as far as health goes
This one will be decided the last week of the season. All three of the teams, the Os, red sox, and yanks have all had their injuries problems thsi year, in a few weeks I believe though Lopez will be back which will be good though Fasano, Whiteside, and Gil have been decent in his place, but theyre not as reliable bats of course though Fasano could finish this year with a career high in home runs.

13. Javey was a huge loss imo
I know there have been lots of others but a catcher like him keeps the staff glued together.

14. Yeah he has been
Our two catchers right now werent even on the 25 man roster, Fasano has impressed me though, and Whiteside seems to be a good up and comer, though if you saw him outside the baseball field, you wouldnt be able to tell the guy was only 25-26 since hes prematurely gray, seems to be a good young hitter, had a multihit game against Jamie Moyer this past weekend.
