Larry Brown - am I the only one who thinks that
this is the most over-covered sports story of the century? He's a self-centered asshole who has been headline news for seven consecutive months, and I have yet to meet ANYONE who thinks we need day-to-day updates on where he MIGHT coach next year.

I know I'm going to sound like a neocon when I say this, but I'd almost rather see him die tomorrow than see any more fucking news reports about this asshole. If not for his egocentric bullshit, Detroit would have held on to its title.

1. Okay, I guess I am, but
for God's sake, today there was an article in the paper, and here's the headline: BROWN CLOSE TO ACCEPTING KNICKS' OFFER.

CLOSE? CLOSE?

Fuck you. When he accepts it, report it and give it a rest. Until then, shut the fuck up. Every fucking day it's Larry Brown this and Larry Brown that. Not even his family could care enough to warrant this much fucking attention.

Sorry to be so vocal about this, but I have never before been so sick of hearing about any one person or thing - not even in politics. Brown has been the leadoff story on sports radio for over half a year, and the story isn't even that compelling.

I wish the self-centered asshole nothing but bad luck.

2. I wish the Rams bad luck then
I want my Knicks to do well. Therefore, I want Brown to do well. He's a great coach. That's why he get attention. Detroit wouldn't have won the title they have without him.

3. You're not the only one...
Personally, I'm glad the Cavaliers didn't get him. He might deliver results short-term, but I suspect we'd be subjected to the same drama the Pistons went through this year eventually.
