I always liked to see those Munson/Fisk match-ups...two great competitors. A real class act.

26 years????? Wow, I can't believe it's been that long.... :-(

3. Wow...doesn't seem that long
And I agree, this Red Sox fan mourns his loss as well. I always enjoyed watching him play. Hated that he was so good and on THAT team but enjoyed the way he played the game.

A loss to baseball for sure.

4. I'll never forget watching that Monday Night Baseball game...
immediately following his death. You don't have to be a Yankees fan to appreciate a guy like Munson and be saddened by his death. I'll never forget him or that period of time.

5. I loved Thurman
my earliest enduring baseball memory is his death. I'll never forget how they left the catcher's box empty when the Yanks took the field for that first game without him.
