Mike Peca traded!! Yup, the end of the Islanders!!

Week at Center.

Week on D (Im not sold on Sopel and Zhitnik).

We aqire York and Satan.

We lose Scatchard, Peca and Aucoin.

I dont know what Milbury is doing. Aquiring Satan and losing Scatch and Peca in one day really doesnt make a lot of sense. I see the Bruins just got enormously better and are now favorites to win the east.

They're not that far away from a cup either.

THe Islanders now have to rebuild some form of team chemistry while losing roughly 40-60 goals off of this roster. I'm not sure that Sopel and Zhitnik mean the reduction of 20-25 goals off this roster from the 03/04 season.

I keep fogetting that Kenny Jonnson aint coming back either.

Milbury is a dunce. Surprisngly Ive been patient with him since he got here. He's at to deal with some really bad owners in Spano and Gluckstern.

Its been so long since hockey's been around and the game has all these new rules, who knows which teams are going to be good.

Peca had to go. He was done. Darcy Tucker killed his career.

Scatchard and Aucoin were big losses, I'll miss them.

But the team will still be okay. I have no idea who the best or worst teams in the NHL are, we're not even half way through this free agency hurricane yet.

3. I dont think he was finished

by a long shot!!!

He may have been a little beat up. Im not going to argue that didnt have an impact. The loss on the PK is going to be painfull. You're going to find out how valuable a player this guy was to this organization.

Even if we argue that he was beat up, we can't deny what a full year off will do to ressurect him. He is going to put up some insane numbers in buffalo. I kid you not on that point.

Especially considering he is in a contract year.

We now have Zhitnik on D who is a carreer minus fifty!!!

Granted signing Sopel and Satan is nice. Sometimes you have to look at what you give up vs what you are getting back. I dont think York is an equal replacement considering that we are going to have a team that's going to be afraid to take a penalty.

In this league you have to play aggressive. Playing timid will get you beat on every night.
