My gut tells me that there is a lot more going on in the NFL as far as performance enhancing drugs. I think they are either using designer drugs or are able to mask things for the testing. I have nothing to back that up, that's just my feeling.

1. The muscle mass on these guys is unnatural.

As is the amount of time they stay in the gym. The steroids not only make players bigger stronger and faster but they control the inflammation and joint pain that would normally occur after a 3-4 hour workout.
The muscles are also getting so strong that the tendon and ligament attachment to the bones can't handle the forces applied. Worst part is - if you don't use you can't compete with those who do. I don't think it can be stopped.
