Why are pro football players such prima donnas?

TO stalks off and gets into a hissy fit with McNab and rookie Barron holds out over his contract with the Rams, then hacks off the coach by not showing up for practice. They are running a close second the basketball players.

1. With pro athletes that attitude

is more noticeable because of the media attention. There are prima donnas in every profession, a god complex of sorts. I could show you musicians or nurses with that mindset.

With jocks though some of them have been coddled when they came up through school. They didn't have a coach like George Allen or Mike Ditka keeping them on the straight and narrow.

2. But TO is supplying a hot, miserable city w/ $4mil of amusement

To quote McNabb, it beats the hell out of "Days of Our Lives". TO's behavior is so through the roof (situps on his home lawn for the media! Taking umbrage to the offensive coordinator "harrassing" him by saying (and I quote) "Hey, Terrell"! Telling said offensive coordinator that he is not to address TO unless TO speaks to him first! Vowing not to speak to the guy who has to throw him the freaking ball all year!!

Yes boys and girls, TO is providing us with entertainment, just not the entertainment we bargained for...

6. It's been interesting to watch the grownups on the team

react to T.O. McNabb has actually approached it with a pretty good sense of humor, which seems to piss T.O. off even more. Most everyone is there to work, to keep their jobs, to get the team to the Superbowl. They show up for camp, they hustle, and the avoid the press.

I think there's something about being a pro athlete.

According to the AP, Jason Michaels of the Phillies recently 'punched a Philadelphia police officer and wrestled him to the ground, in the process ripping the police officer's shirt,' Cpl. Jim Pauley said. 'It took four officers to control him.'Police were dispersing a crowd in the Old City entertainment district just before 3 a.m. and everyone moved on willingly except Michaels, Pauley said.'"

Obviously Michaels didn't think a policeman should be telling someone as important as himself to "move along". Rules don't apply to him.

7. If the media would quit covering TO

He'd quit the posturing. The media should just completely ignore him and his theatrics. If there was no audience, no outlet, he'd have to just shut up and play by the rules. But as long as he's got a forum, he's going to take advantage of it.

What should happen to Drew Rosenhaus? I've never seen such a smarmy, fake, ass-kissing fool as this guy. I think he is just as much to blame. He went on 'quite frankly' with Stephen A Smith and vowed that he would never lie, he is an honest man. Then he has the gall to throw out in the media that the eagles made TO sign a waiver that they wouldn;t be liable if he played in the super bowl last year...How ridiculous - just show us the freaking waiver, assholes.
