TRONDHEIM, Norway, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Rosenborg Trondheim held off a late surge by Steaua Bucharest to qualify for the Champions League group phase for a 10th time on Tuesday.

Rosenborg won the second leg of their third qualifying round tie 3-2 at home to go through 4-3 on aggregate.

2. I'm surprised on a number of levels.

1) That this is in General Discussion,
2) Rosenborg have been appalling in the Norwegian League.

But, of course, this is good for Norwegian football, especially if Valerenga also beat Brugge...two Norwegian teams in the CL is unprecedented, right?

I was hoping Steaua would qualify, I've never seen them play, it would be interesting to of seen them in such a prestigous competition. Oh well, no big deal.
