Tennis: U.S. Open up for grabs with a wide-open field:
http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/08/28/sports/TENNIS.phpI thought it was very tough to have to go into the June Wimbledon Final againist Federer without the advantage of a whole day's rest, unlike his awesome opponent.
I also think he needs to do two things if he is serious about winning at Flushing Meadows:
Completely change his pre-serve body language. All that fidgeting about with his hat, shirt and racket is anathema to the cool, composed stance of greats like Federer.
Change his headgear. He looks as if he is a profuse perspirer and that hat he wears contributes to the problem. Some 60% of body heat is lost through the head and if he keeps covering it up - instead of dealing with it with, say, a minimalist towelling headband, he is exacerbating the situation.
Other than that, his service is awesome, his backhand deadly and his net-front volleying coming along nicely.
Hope his luck is in these next couple of weeks.
