Bravo and well done! A tribute to the Yankees
NEW YORK -- "The New York Yankees and the NFL are each donating $1 million to the American Red Cross to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama...

"This is one of America's greatest natural disasters and tragedies and it is the responsibility of the American public to step up and help those in need."

I grew up hating the mother fucking yankees. It's in my blood, but even this Red Sox fan has to say well done to this.

1. Yay Yankees!
That is the thing to do. I grew up a few blocks away from Yankee Stadium.

2. Instead of whining that Tsunami victims didn't donate money
to the USA - this is what the riches country in the world should be doing. Donating money to itself.

I wonder too - if Saudi Arabia and the richer Gulf War States won't volunteer money this time..like they didn't during the tsunami.

3. The Yankees also gave $1 million for the Tsunami relief fund..
Randy Johnson donated around $750,000 and Hideki, after seeing a tv report right after it occured, walked into the office of his town's Red Cross with a check for the equiv of $500,000.
