I was just wondering if anyone was coming down, so I could offer local advice if they'd never been here before. Good place to eat something you can't get up in Boston like a Pirmanti sandwich, or where to stay, park, etc.

Just a Steelers fan offering a helping hand to any DU'ers regardless of their Football persuasion.

10. Hey, I've been a Pats fan since the days of Babe Parilli,

Jimmy Concanon, Gino Capiletti, and the rest of the lot. I watched them play at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, and at Fenway Park, Shaeffer "Stadium" and all the rest.

In short, I am a Patriot from crown to toenails. There is no hate in my post - just a gentle whiff of a poke at the Steeler fans (I should add that I have often admired Steeler teams over the years, even while rooting for the Pats. Hell, I've even liked some of the Yankee teams, while all the while wanting to kick their pinstripped butts).

Tis true, tis true. A little self-deprecating Bean humor is often lost on the SERIOUS sports fan.

TO isn't a dick in real life. His public persona is much different than who he is in reality...with Brady, it is the opppsite.

And BTW, I realize many people think TO is a dick...whatever. They can think what they want, but that's why a lot of people hate the Eagles. You asked why many people hate the Patriots, and the reason is the same as why many dislike the Eagles. They are both exceptionally good teams with assholes on them :)

Long story short it's an old D&D character name from way back that I've used for a while. I generally don't associate the two in my head. I've thought a few times about changing it but I've just used it for so long, in so many formats, that it's just too hard.

If anyone wants to use it though to claim i'm not a true Steelers fan then we can set up a time and place to meet, so they can say it to my face. :)
