1. That was a great game! It's nice to see Papi and Manny getting hot
going into the weekend. Paplebon was great, he is going to be a great addition to the starting rotation next year.

3. A-rod does not deserve it.
He plays superman mostly when they are up 8-1.

8. if he can take 2 out of three in Boston
he'll win, otherwise it's Papi. Winner really take all here, I figure.

9. probably
but I really think A-Rod is more deserving. If the Yanks blow this, that will be the least of my anger about this season.

10. nah, I value RBIs more than dingers
and papi has 20+ more than A-rod. the dingers are the same. not only did he have more baserunners, he had a higher average with runners in scoring position. but reasonable people can disagree.

14. I value
obp, ops and rc/27 more than rbi. Rbi is a team stat.

11. how does he deserve it more though?
the onLy stat he Leads ortiz in, is average.

i think ortiz deserves more based on game winning hits aLone... but then again, i have no idea how arod had done in the cLutch this year.

12. and fielding, of course
the 61 straight games without an error does help. although he doesn't play well against the Sox, which is all that matters, right?

13. er, how many times has someone intentionally walked A-Rod
because they'd rather pitch to someone hitting 300 with 45 home runs?

15. A-Rod
has walked more than Ortiz. He's only behind Giambi in obp.

17. The Yankees fear Ortiz so much
they would rather face Manny Ramierez, batting .330 with runners in scoring position and two on than Papi.

18. Ortiz kills us no doubt
and we've handled Manny ok over the years. It also set up the double play.

20. He hasn't killed us
the last few postseasons. Its been Ortiz, Millar of all people and Damon. Cabrera killed us last year too.
