and PM me if you want to join a fantasy golf league...I know, it's kind of weird to have a "fantasy" golf league, but it's fun to follow the events. Especially when it's so freaking cold this time of year.

1. Here's a tip for your fantasy league golf |
|
The two most vital stats are driving distance and putting, the number of putts per hole. Available on the PGA Tour.com website.
Trust me. I wager on golf matchups every week from March thru October and those two categories trump everything by 7000+ yards. You hear commentators promoting garbage like greens in regulation and scrambling and all-around stats and it's laughable. I ran two years worth of stats thru Excel in every category in 1999 and 2000 and the combo of driving distance and putts per hole destroyed everything.
I really should shut up about this. My friends and I clean up on golf matchups using that knowledge, while other golf wagerers focus on baloney like local knowledge. But it seems safe enough to mention on DU.
